Overview of the ARTS LEADERSHIP RESIDENCY FUNDING program:

The Arts Leadership Residency addresses the underrepresentation of racialized individuals in leadership roles within the arts sector. By fostering mentorship and professional growth, the program equips participants with the skills, networks, and experience necessary to excel in arts leadership positions. Residents collaborate with host organizations to co-design a residency plan that aligns with their career goals and organizational development objectives. Residencies are flexible, ranging from six months full-time to 12 months part-time, enabling participants to balance residency work with other commitments. Host organizations commit to providing mentorship, ensuring the resident's learning objectives are met while contributing to the organization’s internal capacity and equity practices. Projects often involve programming, strategic planning, community outreach, governance, and resource management. The residency also emphasizes equitable, inclusive work environments and meaningful engagement with equity-deserving groups.
