Community Development Infrastructure Progam (CDIP)

The purpose of this program is to provide seed money to neighbourhood associations and communities of interest to take action to address issues they have identified in their community.

Overview of the Community Development Infrastructure Progam (CDIP) program:

We offer the Community Development Infrastructure Program (CDIP) grant to neighbourhood associations and communities of interest to address issues they have found in their communities.

Benefits of the Community Development Infrastructure Progam (CDIP) program:
  • Our goal for the CDIP grant is to strengthen neighbourhood cohesion and stability.
  • We offer grants of up to $10,000 on a one-time basis as seed money for community development projects. Your project must be self-sustaining or completed when the grant runs out.
  • We encourage applicants to look for equity contributions and partnerships.
Eligibility criteria of the Community Development Infrastructure Progam (CDIP) program:
  • You are eligible to apply for the CDIP grant if your group falls into one of these categories:
  • Neighborhood association
  • Community of interest
  • A community of interest is a group that has identified common concerns that impact a geographic area of the city.
  • To be eligible for the CDIP grant, your group must have an organizational structure in place to initiate and follow through on projects and account for finances.
