Community Facility Enhancement Program Small

Financial assistance up to $125,000 to upgrade, expand, purchase or build public-use community facilities
  • Govt of Alberta
Overview of the Community Facility Enhancement Program Small program:

The CFEP Small Funding Stream provides grants to assist non-profit organizations in Alberta with capital projects, such as construction, renovation, and equipment purchases for facilities that are open to the public. These facilities include community halls, sports facilities, parks, cultural venues, and other public spaces that enhance the quality of life in local communities. The program encourages organizations to improve accessibility, safety, and functionality to better serve the needs of Albertans. By providing funding for smaller-scale projects, CFEP supports the development of community spaces that promote social connections, recreation, and cultural engagement across the province. Projects must be completed within 18 months from the date the payment is received by the organization. The program provides grants of up to $125,000 per project. The grant covers up to 50% of eligible costs. For projects in Indigenous or remote communities, CFEP may fund up to 75% of eligible costs.
