The Microloan Program from the Nishnawbe Aski Development Fund (NADF) is designed to offer flexible, low-interest loans to Indigenous individuals and communities in Northern Ontario who are looking to start or grow a small business. Recognizing that access to capital can be a major barrier for emerging entrepreneurs, especially in remote and rural areas, the program offers financing that is easier to obtain than traditional loans.   • Be planning to start, expand, or operate a business
  • Provide a basic business plan or purpose for the loan
  • Be capable of repaying the loan (even if limited credit history is present)
  • Agree to work with NADFs business support services if needed
  • Applicants may include individuals, partnerships, or community-owned enterprises.
