The Yukon Heritage Training Fund (YHTF), administered by the Yukon Historical & Museums Association (YHMA) and funded by the Yukon Government's Department of Education, is designed to support skill development, training, and professional advancement in heritage sectors. The fund supports both individuals and organizations engaged in the preservation, interpretation, and promotion of Yukon’s heritage, including museum operations, archives, cultural resource management, conservation, oral history, and Indigenous knowledge practices. The fund is available to heritage professionals, volunteers, students, and First Nations knowledge holders living in the Yukon. It can be used to attend workshops, courses, conferences, and other training opportunities both in Yukon and outside the territory. Projects must directly contribute to enhancing heritage skills and knowledge, and align with long-term heritage employment or volunteering goals. The fund is also available to heritage organizations to support internal staff or volunteer development.
