The Futurpreneur Core Startup Program is designed to support aspiring Canadian entrepreneurs aged 18-39 in launching and growing their businesses. This program provides young entrepreneurs with financing, mentorship, and resources tailored to help them succeed in the early stages of their business journey. It focuses on nurturing entrepreneurial talent across various sectors, offering both financial support and expert guidance to help startups thrive.

Benefits of the Core Startup Program program:
  • Financing: Entrepreneurs can access up to $60,000 in startup financing, with the first $20,000 provided by Futurpreneur and an additional $40,000 available through Futurpreneurs partnership with BDC (Business Development Bank of Canada).
  • Mentorship: Participants are matched with an expert business mentor for up to two years. This mentorship provides crucial advice, support, and industry insights to help navigate the challenges of starting a business.
  • Resources and Tools: The program offers access to valuable resources, including workshops, business planning tools, and an online entrepreneur community, providing essential knowledge and networking opportunities.
Eligibility criteria of the Core Startup Program program:
  • Age: Applicants must be between 18-39 years old.
  • Business Stage: The program is aimed at individuals ready to start a business or who have been running a business for less than 12 months.
  • Citizenship: Applicants must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents.
  • Business Plan: A complete and viable business plan is required.
  • Credit Standing: Applicants should have a reasonable credit history and no recent bankruptcies.
