  • You may be eligible for an in-kind facility grant from the City of Kitchener if your group is hosting a public event that:
  • Aims to benefit the residents of Kitchener in the areas of arts and culture, minor sports and recreation, or community support and development.
  • Is held at a city-owned facility.
  • To qualify, the event must:
  • Align with the City of Kitchener's Strategic Plan and not be the responsibility of other government levels (e.g., health care, social services).
  • Not include activities prohibited under the Municipal Act, such as religious services.
  • Be provided directly to Kitchener citizens, excluding fundraising events or those organized by groups that distribute grants.
  • Not be submitted by individuals or subgroups of a larger organization.
  • Be open to the public, with no admission fee or a minimal charge to maximize participation.
  • Consider accessibility for individuals with disabilities.
