Overview of the Micro Business Loans program:

Momentum’s Micro Business Loans program is designed to support individuals in Calgary who are starting or growing small businesses but have difficulty accessing conventional bank loans. The program is particularly aimed at low-income individuals, newcomers, women, and those rebuilding after financial setbacks. The loans are accompanied by business coaching, financial literacy training, and peer support, helping entrepreneurs not only access capital but also improve their capacity to run a successful business. Momentum believes in a holistic approach, offering wraparound supports such as help creating business plans, setting budgets, and planning for sustainable growth.

Benefits of the Micro Business Loans program:
  • Micro Loans for Businesses of up to $10,000. Repayment terms range between 2-5 years. This program is available at business prime plus 2% interest.
Eligibility criteria of the Micro Business Loans program:
  • To qualify, applicants must have graduated from one of our Self Employment programs to be eligible for a Micro Business Loan.
