Overview of the Quebec Initiative for Construction 4.0 - Digital Locomotives program:

IQC 4.0 is a concerted approach across Quebec, carried out with the support of the Quebec government and in partnership with professional associations in the construction sector. Quebec Initiative for Construction 4.0 - Digital Locomotives provides support for improvement projects with Quebec suppliers sponsored by project owners or by large distribution networks, as part of a structured digitization and automation process, including the implementation of digital technologies and workforce training in these new tools

Benefits of the Quebec Initiative for Construction 4.0 - Digital Locomotives program:
  • Your organization will be reimbursed for its training and support costs, up to 50% of the total value of your digital implementation project. All selected locomotives will be accompanied by a coordinator who will ensure the validation and monitoring of the improvement plan proposed by the locomotives as well as the approval and monitoring of the budgets presented.
Eligibility criteria of the Quebec Initiative for Construction 4.0 - Digital Locomotives program:
  • In addition to ensuring adequate representation across disciplines and regional geographic distribution, participating organizations that will be able to set up digital locomotives will be selected based on the following criteria:
  • Have an improvement project shared with its suppliers
  • Having carried out the IQC 4.0 diagnosis
  • Not having already participated in a digital locomotive
  • Have an office located in Quebec;
  • Work in the construction or built environment economic sector or be
  • A client.
