  • Eligible Employers
  • Not-for-Profit Organizations:
  • Eligible to receive funding for up to 100% of the provincial or territorial minimum wage, including mandatory employment costs.
  • Public Sector Employers:
  • Eligible to receive funding for up to 50% of the provincial or territorial minimum wage.
  • Private Sector Employers:
  • Must have 50 or fewer full-time employees across Canada to be eligible.
  • Neligible Employers
  • Members of the House of Commons and Senate and their immediate families.
  • Federal and provincial government departments and agencies.
  • Organizations involved in partisan political activities.
  • Organizations whose activities undermine or infringe on human rights protected by Canadian law.
  • Youth Employees
  • Must be aged 15 to 30 years at the start of the employment period.
  • Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a refugee under Canadian law.
