Overview of the Community Futures NWT program:

The Community Futures Program is a community-based economic initiative delivered in each region by Community Futures Development Corporations. These Corporations operate independent of government as non-profit organizations and are overseen by volunteer Boards of Directors representative of the regions and communities they serve.

Benefits of the Community Futures NWT program:
  • Eligible business may receive a business loan or loan guarantee up to $150,000. Community Futures provides advisory services to start up and expanding businesses. Wages subsidies may be provided to those who are unemployed and would like to become an entrepreneur. Eligible businesses may also receive access to Canada Business NWT Internet sites and business information services.
