Overview of the Enhanced Replant Program (ERP) Stream 1: Tree Fruit Replant & Stream 2: Wine Grape Replant program:

The ERP provides financial assistance to tree fruit, wine grape, and berry growers for replacing old or underperforming plants with new varieties that are better suited to meet current market preferences and withstand environmental challenges. The program offers four funding streams tailored to the specific needs of various crop types: Tree Fruit Replant: Assists growers of apples, cherries, pears, and other tree fruits in replacing old orchards with premium varieties. Wine Grape Replant: Supports wine grape producers in transitioning to improved grape varieties for higher-quality wine production. Berry Replant: Targets blueberry and raspberry growers to enhance the quality and yield of their crops. Berry Removal/Renewal: Provides financial assistance for removing unproductive blueberry fields or renewing cranberry operations for better efficiency and output. The ERP is structured to increase the competitiveness of BC’s agricultural sector by fostering sustainable, high-value crop production and supporting the adoption of advanced agricultural practices.
