Overview of the Expansion Loans - WeMB program:

The WEMB Expansion Loans program, administered by the Women's Enterprise Centre of Manitoba (WEMB), is designed to help women business owners take their operations to the next level. This loan is tailored specifically for businesses that have moved beyond the start-up phase and are seeking capital to support their growth. Whether the need is for purchasing equipment, hiring additional staff, expanding into new markets, increasing production capacity, or upgrading facilities, this program provides essential funding to make those goals a reality. Applicants can expect personalized support through the process, including financial advice and guidance from WEMB staff. The program is open to self-identified women—including cisgender, transgender, Two-Spirit, and gender-diverse individuals—or businesses that are majority owned and controlled by the same. Eligible businesses must be located in Manitoba and either currently operating or ready to begin operations. WEMB aims to create long-term economic empowerment for women entrepreneurs by reducing financing barriers and offering ongoing mentorship as businesses grow. This initiative aligns with the center's broader mission of supporting women-led business development across the province.
