Provides financial assistance to help Canadian geomatics technology entrepreneurs and professionals with attending industry events, tradeshows, and conferences for the purpose of technology commercialization.

TECTERRA promotes the advancement of the geospatial technology sector in Canada through a distinctive funding portfolio. Established in 2009, TECTERRA operates under a unique funding model that reinvests 95% of the funds to maximize impact and sustainability. This innovative approach has allowed TECTERRA to directly support hundreds of Canadian startups and SMEs by providing crucial financial backing and resources to commercialize geospatial technology.

Benefits of the Tradeshow Attendance Program (TAP) program:
  • Funding is offered in the form of a non-repayable grant for eligible expenses. Applicants may receive up to $20,000 per year for up to two separate events.
  • Eligible costs include: registration costs for up to two employees per per event; booth registration costs of up to $5,000 per event, hotel expenses for up to three nights per person per event; and, up to 50% for international flight costs up to $1,000.
