Overview of the ÉcoPerformance - Commercial Institutional Bienergy Stream (Tailor-made Course) program:

The ÉcoPerformance program aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption of businesses in Quebec by providing them with financial assistance to carry out energy analyses and energy efficiency and conversion projects in the business sector. This component aims at the partial conversion of buildings in the commercial and institutional sectors using natural gas for space heating to electricity, through an approach based on optimal complementarity of electricity and gas networks. Dual energy therefore aims to convert a significant portion of natural gas consumption to electricity while respecting the real constraint of Hydro-Québec's winter electricity peak. The tailor-made pathway allows you to receive financial assistance for equipment and other expenses that cannot be modelled in the simplified pathway or to benefit from financial assistance higher than the maximum amount of the simplified pathway for equipment that is not included on the list.

Benefits of the ÉcoPerformance - Commercial Institutional Bienergy Stream (Tailor-made Course) program:
  • The financial assistance granted corresponds to the lesser of the following amounts:
  • Maximum per request - $3,000,000
  • Maximum per site - $6,000,000
Eligibility criteria of the ÉcoPerformance - Commercial Institutional Bienergy Stream (Tailor-made Course) program:
  • EcoPerformance is offered to:
  • Customers in the commercial and institutional sectors or multi-rental housing (20 units or more) who wish to decarbonize the heating of their buildings. These customers will be encouraged to use electricity for space heating, except during peak periods, when they will have to use natural gas to heat the spaces.
  • This component is offered to customers who have a natural gas consumption of up to 500,000 cubic meter.
