The Project Program by Kelowna's Cultural Services is designed to support arts, culture, and heritage projects that have a significant impact on the community. These grants are intended for short-term, one-time initiatives such as exhibitions, performances, festivals, or heritage projects that enrich Kelowna’s cultural landscape. The program is open to non-profit organisations, registered charities, and community groups that focus on artistic and cultural development. Projects must demonstrate public accessibility, inclusivity, and contribute to the city’s cultural growth. The initiative supports events that promote local talent, encourage public participation, and celebrate the city's cultural diversity. By funding these projects, the City of Kelowna seeks to foster civic pride, enhance the quality of life for residents, and bolster the visibility of Kelowna's arts and heritage sectors.

Eligibility criteria of the ACTIVE LIVING & CULTURE DIVISION program:
  • To qualify, applicants must be non-profit organisations, registered charities, or community groups operating within the City of Kelowna. Projects must focus on arts, culture, or heritage and demonstrate a clear benefit to the community, prioritising public accessibility, diversity, and inclusivity. Eligible projects should be one-time events or initiatives, and ongoing operational costs are not covered. Applicants must also have a strong project plan, including measurable outcomes, a detailed budget, and proof of community involvement.
